Christmas Services at SJR - 2011

Please see below the schedule of services this Christmas week at St James Road Methodist Church, Southampton:
Messy Christmas Nativity - Sunday 18th December 10.30 a.m.
Come dressed to participate in the Christmas story!! You know - Shepherd, sheep, angel, lobster(!)...
Carols by Candlelight - Sunday 18th December 6.30 p.m.
This is a very special service, lit entirely by candles. We remember the nativity through Bible readings and in the singing of traditional carols. Led by Rev. Terry Hudson and Deacon Brian Purchase
Christingle - Saturday 24th December 4.00 pm.
Worship led by Rev. Terry Hudson with a very distinctive Christmas flavour.
Sacrament of Holy Communion - Saturday 24th December 11.30 pm.
Late night worship led by Rev. Terry Hudson to see in Christmas morning
Christmas Day - Sunday 25th December 10.30 am.
All age family worship.

Dalian Players and Fitzell-Roberts Dancers present the pantomime 'Puss in Boots' - 11 to 14 January 2012

Dear Friends,

The Dalian Players drama group in association with the Fitzell-Roberts Dancers will perform Puss in Boots next month.

The matinée performance on 14 January is already sold out and the other performances are selling fast.

I would be grateful if you could advertise the pantomime in your churches and with any groups that you know.

Christmas Tree & Music Festival Programme

Here is the list of what you can look forward to (musically) at the forthcoming Christmas Tree & Music Festival at SJR; the programme starts just after 2.00 p.m. Friday 2nd December and runs through to Sunday afternoon. Hopefully this will help you to plan your weekend!
The event will be opened by the mayor of Southampton, Cllr Terry Matthews, at 2.00pm on the Friday. We hope to see you there...

Hello,

The New Music Makers from Hedge End are to perform a Christmas Concert at Woolston Methodist Church on 3 December and I would like to invite the circuit to this event.

I attach a poster giving details of the concert and the contact number. I would be grateful if someone from each church could call Gill Machin on the number on the poster by Thursday 1 December with confirmation of how may people are coming.

Admission is £5 on the door to include light refreshments.

The New Music Makers performed at Woolston just before Christmas last year and the evening was enjoyed by everyone who attended.
